Project Summary

This comprehensive landscaping project transformed the outdoor space into a stunning and functional retreat through a harmonious blend of natural stone and vibrant plantings.

The Thermal Pattern Cut Pennsylvania Flagstone Patio & Walkway created a striking foundation for the outdoor living area. Spanning 1,673 square feet, this expertly laid patio and walkway featured a concrete base reinforced with rebar. The pattern-cut flagstone, mortared in place, ensured longevity and a seamless, polished look. Complementing this, the Irregular Full-Color Pennsylvania Flagstone Walkway added a natural, flowing feel to the landscape. Bordered by Belgian block and secured with snap edging, this 427-square-foot pathway provided both elegance and structural integrity.

For a touch of classic charm, the Brick Veneered Planter offered a beautiful, functional space for flowers and greenery. Constructed on reinforced concrete footers, this planter featured used brick veneer over a concrete block structure, capped with 12-inch-wide sandstone. A waterproof membrane ensured longevity, while a custom soil mixture provided the ideal environment for plants to thrive.

The Sandstone Retaining Walls served both decorative and practical purposes, defining the landscape while preventing soil erosion. These mortared walls varied in height and length, with a key feature being the Patio Sandstone Retaining Wall, which measured 39 feet in length and was capped with 14-inch-wide sandstone. Additional retaining walls behind the house and along the property edges provided structural integrity while blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings.

To enhance functionality, the Driveway Enlargement & Trench Drain Installation ensured proper drainage and expanded parking space. This process included excavating and reinforcing the driveway with 4,000 PSI concrete, while strategically placed Polycast Concrete Trench Drains prevented water pooling and improved site drainage.

The Low Voltage Lighting System brought the landscape to life at night, featuring a combination of path lights, accent lights, and a programmable transformer for customized ambiance. Thoughtfully installed wiring ran through planting beds, ensuring a clean, unobtrusive appearance while maximizing illumination.

Finally, the Landscaping & Lawn Restoration completed the transformation. Carefully selected flora, including 94 Green Velvet Boxwoods and 19 Green Giant Arborvitae, added depth and privacy to the space. Planting beds were enriched with nutrient-rich topsoil and finished with a layer of hardwood mulch. Additionally, the lawn was reseeded with a premium Penn State mix grass seed for a lush, healthy finish.
