Project Summary
For this project, we partnered with a leading Pittsburgh pool builder to deliver a beautifully integrated pool and patio outdoor living space. Our team managed all site excavation, ensuring a precise and stable foundation for the pool installation. Once the pool was in place, we brought the area to life through expert stonework, hardscape finishing, and thoughtful landscape integration.
The centerpiece of the space is a 2,214-square-foot pool deck crafted from pattern cut Full Color Pennsylvania Thermal Flagstone, laid in an Ashlar pattern and set over reinforced concrete for strength and longevity. Complementing this surface is 110 linear feet of Thermal Bluestone bullnose coping, creating a clean and elegant perimeter around the pool.
Surrounding the pool, we introduced a Belgian Block soldier course border to define the planting beds, where we installed softscape elements and a freshly manicured lawn—softening the transition between hardscape and the natural environment. For added architectural interest and utility, we custom-fabricated stone posts that discreetly house electrical outlets, marrying function with form.
To support outdoor entertainment and safety, conduit was run for electric and gas lines, and we incorporated low-voltage lighting to create a welcoming, ambient atmosphere during evening hours. A Polycast 600 trench drain system was also installed between the house and pool to manage water efficiently, connecting into the existing French drain network.
From structure to styling, this project reflects the careful collaboration of trades and a commitment to craftsmanship—delivering a high-performance, high-style outdoor retreat.
