Our Story: From Lawn Care to Landscape Artistry
2003: A Chevy Pickup & A Vision
It all started with one truck, two friends, and a passion for working outdoors. In 2003, Jeff Wichman launched Wichman Landscape as a residential lawn care and maintenance company, serving the North Hills of Pittsburgh.
2005: A New Direction
Jeff quickly realized that his real passion wasn’t in weekly lawn care—it was in crafting beautiful, lasting landscapes. By 2005, he began shifting the business toward natural stone and paver installations, bringing more artistry and craftsmanship into every project.
2007: The Transition to Hardscaping
In 2007, Wichman Lawn Care officially became Wichman Landscape Construction, with a sole focus on stonework, patios, retaining walls, and full-scale landscape installations.
Where We Are Today
Wichman Landscape Construction has grown into a thriving, well-respected business with three dedicated crews:

Meet Jeff: A Lifelong Passion for Masonry & Design
Jeff grew up in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, learning the trade from his stepfather at a young age.
“When I was 12, I was mixing mortar and cleaning up job sites. By my teens, I was helping lay brick and stone, learning firsthand what quality craftsmanship looks like.”
His entrepreneurial spirit kicked in early—at 15, he was cutting grass for neighbors and dreaming of starting his own business. After graduating college, he turned that dream into reality, launching Wichman Landscape Construction and never looking back.
Today, Jeff leads his team with the same dedication, work ethic, and passion that got him started—continuing to push the boundaries of design and craftsmanship in Pittsburgh’s landscaping industry.
